Choosing a massage spa isn't simply about finding the closest business or selecting the first result you see online.

The right spa should offer a treatment that matches your needs while providing a professional, comfortable and hygienic environment.

1. Start with the location

Lagos is a large city, so location matters. A spa that is convenient to your home, workplace or other destination can make the entire experience easier.

If you are around Festac or Lagos Mainland, a local spa such as Pax & Pearl BodyWorks may be more convenient than travelling across the city for every appointment.

2. Check the treatments available

Different spas specialize in different experiences. Before booking, check whether the spa actually offers the treatment you want.

3. Read customer reviews

Reviews can help you understand what other customers experienced. Look beyond the star rating and read the actual comments.

Look for recurring comments about professionalism, cleanliness, customer service, atmosphere and the quality of the specific treatment you're considering.

4. Look at the spa environment

A massage is an experience, so the environment matters. Look for a spa that takes cleanliness, privacy, comfort and professionalism seriously.

5. Compare prices carefully

Price is important, but it should not be the only factor. Two massages with the same name can differ in duration, environment and overall experience.

Ask what is included before comparing prices between spas.

6. Check the booking process

A clear booking process makes the experience much easier. Confirm the date, time, treatment, duration and price before your appointment.

7. Choose the treatment that matches your goal

Don't choose a treatment simply because it is popular. Think about what you actually want from your appointment.
